Comerio Municipal Stadium
The Comerio Stadium is nestled in an idyllic quaint town in the Cordillera Central of Puerto Rico. This landmark is recognized by its smooth and esthetic beauty coupled with functionality. The project's challenge was the foundation because it had to be redesigned due to an archaeological find of a Taino Indian burial ground. The engineering challenge was facing a road laden with sharp curves into town. The road made it impossible to bring heavy wide flange beams to the site. It is with great pride the Mr. Leal designed the columns with steel tubing. The material was not only available locally but generated work for over 15 welders. For a municipal project this was a windfall saving money, time and generating employment. This Stadium is the pride and joy of the Cordillera Central.
